Accreditation is now open

In 72 days, the curtain will rise at the Göteborg International Film Festival. If you want to cover the largest film event in Scandinavia, please apply for accreditation today. During eleven intense days, January 27 - February 6, the festival will screen more than 400 films from about 70 countries. Approximately 130,000 tickets are sold each year.

Göteborg International Film Festival is the most important venue for new Scandinavian film. Here the latest films from Sweden and neighboring countries are received by enthusiastic audiences. The festival hands out one of the world's largest film awards (one million SEK, app.110 000 €), Dragon Award Best Nordic Film. In 2011 the prize went to She Monkeys, directed by the up-and-coming Swedish director, Lisa Aschan.

This festival also directs special attention to film from an area that is currently experiencing revolutionary changes: the Arabic-speaking world.
