Film at Kulturkalaset
Göteborg International Film Festival, and Kulturkalaset offer again this year at the popular outdoor screenings at Kronhusgården and screenings at Bio Roy. Among other things, it will be Sweden premiere of the acclaimed film version of Charlotte Bronte's novel Jane Eyre, premiere of Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris and Axel Danielsson's documentary Pangpangbröder.
Every night at 21:45 during Kulturkalaset Göteborg International Film Festival screen movies under the stars on Kronhusgården. This year's theme is dreams of the future, with titles such as Roy Andersson's En kärlekshistoria, Davis Guggenheim's Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, Jessica Hausners Miracle of Lourdes, Lars von Trier's Melancholia and Neill Blomkamps science fiction movie District 9.
Bio Roy offers a film festival in the small format, with premiere of Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris, Sweden premiere of the new acclaimed film version of Charlotte Bronte's classic novel Jane Eyre. We preview this year's coolest UK indie comedy Submarine, and funny/romantic Crazy, Stupid, Love with Julianne Moore, Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling.
We also offer a pre-premiere of Axel Danielsson's famous documentary Pangpangbröder, he has for ten years followed the brothers Gustav and Oscar. In connection with the viewer, it will be an evening of conversation, live music and bar in cooperation with Doc Lounge.
There are also local short film favorites, Opera from Metropolitan in New York and Best of Göteborgsepoker.
All screenings at Kulturkalaset has free admission! Outdoor screenings at Kronhusgården requires no tickets. Tickets for Bio Roy can be picked up at the cinema the same day from 4pm.
